GSS News-Knit®
Jomac Green Synthetic Shrink News-Knit (GSS News-Knit®) is a synthetic shrink dampening cover specially made for the water pick-up rollers of most newspaper web presses. This durable cover offers the perfect alternative to traditional cotton covers, lasting up to 5 times longer.
GSS News-Knit® is a density knit, highly absorbent cover which allows for faster start-ups, excellent water control and better print quality.
Save money with less down time because GSS News-Knit® has specially treated fibers that are easy to clean, and stay clean longer as they resist ink build up. This product is shrink-fit, meaning it resists twisting and creeping, and allows for fast and easy installation – simply run under hot water and the cover shrink to fit the roller.

Application Notes
The cover is manufactured slightly oversized for ease of installation, while still providing a tight fit when shrunk over the roller. Recommended water temperature to shrink the cover is 120 ° F (50 ° C) for two to three minutes. The cover is designed to last up to five times longer than a cotton cover, causing less changeovers and downtime.
Available in 13 yard (11.88 mm) rolls, to fit the rollers of most popular presses. Outside diameter sizes from 2" to 3.625" (51 mm to 92 mm). Also available as a cut cover, for specific presses, with or without strings.
